Aerospace: Blue Origin's New Shepard Reusable Rocket Makes 4th Flight

06/22/2016 - Iron Sights Productions  Earlier this month, US-based aerospace company Blue Origin launched its unmanned reusable rocket New Shepard for the fourth time. The rocket carried aloft a crew capsule containing various third party experiments taking advantage of the several minutes of microgravity experienced during the flight.

Upon returning, the rocket landed under its own power while the capsule was intentionally landed using only two of three parachutes generally used during descent and landing. This was a means of testing the safety and suitability of the capsule in the event of a parachute failure.

Like Russia's Soyuz crewed capsule, New Shepard's capsule uses retrorockets which fire briefly just before impact to further soften the landing.

Take a look at the video and watch the amazing fourth flight of Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket.
